The Journey / Tray

Keeping to the theme of “The Journey”, the tray will make a nice display piece as well. A larger piece and look at an ocean shoreline with footstep impressions in the sand. 

This tray is a wooden tray with handle grips at each end. Along with the footstep impressions in the sand there are also small sea shells mixed in and around.

As mentioned in my other Journey piece listing, the footsteps are a depiction of one’s own journey embarked on and with every courageous step taken bringing with it one’s own light into the world. This has been a spin-off of my own writings long ago, and not the same as the “Footprints in the sand” poem and is quite the opposite as no one is being carried on this journey. No footsteps missing, and the one on the journey is the one brining their own light into the world.

Approx. size, 15”L x 11”W

Materials used are ocean colored epoxy resin, sand mixed with modeling paste, and seashells.

Although some of the shells are surface raised, this tray can be used as both a functional tray as well as decor on a stand.
